Great blog! I used to say yes all the time. (people pleaser also), very frustrated, unhappy at times. But at times, if I had not said “yes” to taking my parents different places, when they needed me, I would not have the great memories tucked away!!! Wouldn’t trade them for nothing! My Dad has gone on to be w/the Lord now, but still have my Mom, she will be 88 this month! Wow, huh? I say “Yes” alot to her, as long as she has her hearing aide. hehe

We just saw the movie and laughed hard at times. It can be unhealthy to be a yes man or woman. I am a people pleaser so by nature it can be hard to deliver the answer I really wanna say. But I have been thinking lately before I answer. Or just buy a little time to think about it. Can’t think of an example in my own life. I guess there have been so many. But it do feel it’s good to think on the situation before blurting out and getting yourself in a situation ya don’t want to be a part of. You must be happy at the end of the day. Not to over spiritualize it but I think satan likes us busy. He uses an overwhelming schedule to run defense on God. So leave some down time and holes in life. This is the biggest lesson for me right now.

Although I didn’t love the movie, I learned my lesson as well…For many years I said “Yes” to everything and I found myself spending time away from my significant others (husband at the time). And, I could never figure out why he pouted when I thought I was leading a life as Jesus did. I learned that “folks will take advantage of you if you say yes too often!”
