Some things I’m learning in my little….okay, big surrendering of all of me to Him:
It’s a conscious effort every single day.
Sometimes, I’m afraid of what He might want for me.
The whole, “I want what God wants, BUT….” isn’t gonna work.
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21)
He is concerned about me.
He knows what’s best for me.
Jesus knows what it feels like to surrender – “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 26:39)
He will give me the desires of my heart. And, in this process, MY desires become HIS desires.
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Right now I’m learning to look outside of myself and my own views that I have had for my entire life. Funny thing…I’m not always right. =)

Another great reminder Dusty! I am learning to look to HIM for everything. To use Him as my filter and see things through Christ…. this even means loving, forgiveness, and friendships. He is my number one THEN comes everything else. I am LEARNING this each moment of everyday….I seem to like to do my own thang, ya know?? Good stuff sis!
I am learning that God is STILL in control and I have surrendered it all over to Him. He knows my future and He will handle everything for me. It has taken a BIG load off and I have found the “Peace that passes ALL understanding”! Great Blog!!
Alot… Stay true to what He’s placed inside of you, don’t be concerned about what other’s think, it’s OK to be bold, keep knocking on the door and He will open it…
When I think about surrender, I think about war. As long as we fight God there will be war in our flesh. I have to choose to surrender daily a habit or pattern that has been a stronghold in my life. Thank God He is patient with me and change is a life long process.
