Yesterday could have hardly been better. Between eating breakfast at a hometown local favorite, Cindy Beall re-entering the blogging world, and a big Beluga whale smiling at me, it was dang near perfection.
We took the kids to the Georgia Aquarium. But, not before eating at Murphy’s. Nothing like a pancake shaped like Mickey.
I could’ve almost purchased my Yolo board with what we spent on our Aquarium tickets. Oh, but we were making memories, right? Okay. Sure.
Here are a few of our pics.
Anna hardly walks anywhere. Why walk when you can skip? Or dance for that matter?
You can tell Kris is hardly fazed by her prance. We’ve grown accustomed to the fact that she lives in Annaville.
And, finally, my favorite pic.
I mean, I’ve never made a Beluga whale smile before. My dad said this is just the way these whales look. Whatev’. I think he saw something inside of me that made a part of him happy – made him feel complete. Or, he just looks like this. I choose to believe otherwise. Yes, yes. He is totally smiling at me.
Then, we all celebrated by eating seafood.
Not. Even. Kidding.
Seafood? You didn’t eat caviar did you? I know the Belugas were smiling at you cuz they smile at me too! We are season pass holders and we go 5-6 times a year. John Richard tells me how much bigger the fish have grown~as if the 30 ft long shark is now 30.1 ft long..ha! I do know your children were fascinating..that place has that kind of impact on all of us..love you Dusty!
Seafood? Girl, that’s just wrong. Of course, I don’t like seafood regardless of whether or not I have just visited the aquarium.
Thanks for sharing your day. It looks like an amazing place…still haven’t been.
Wow, loved hearing about your trip! We have not gone either! Well, I need to plan to go soon. Loved the Annaville funny! Great blog!
Very familiar with Annaville, it is two counties over from Michaeltown. At least you didn’t go out for sushi afterwards- i could NOT eat turtle stew after visiting them on grand cayman, but i know that’s the way you roll….. and that whale totally saw what we see in you!! you make me smile too!
I live here and I’ve never been to Murphy’s Restaurant (it looks scary from the outside).
I also haven’t been to The Aquarium yet either. You’ve made it look like so much fun! I may have to plan a trip to both now. Maybe it’s the laundry-mat place right beside Murphys that frightens me. Your pics are great!!
Robin, how you can NOT like seafood? No sushi? No crab legs? No, wha?
Oh, Christie, stop it. And, thank you 🙂
Marla, it does look scary from the outside. It’s good stuff, though. But, make sure you set aside an hour or three to get your food.
I think that we should ALL move to Annaville. She seems to enjoy her world more than we do ours. I want to see a picture of Kris skipping in Annaville with Anna! LOL! The pictures are great and show that the kids REALLY get the wonders of God’s creation more than we as adults do. The Beluga loves you as we do! You make us smile too. Maybe that is your new nickname?:) It is amazing how we have lived here for most of our life and I have never been to Murphy’s either. Maybe we should all take a fieldtrip to Murphy’s. I hear there is safety in numbers! LOL! Just keep making memories, they last much longer than your YOLO Board and you can always play on Shari’s.LOL! Eating seafood after was PRICELESS! Next up, The World of Coke? OR the Music and Sports Hall of Fame in Macon? Count me in!!!!!!!!!
We love the aquarium. We’ve been a couple of times and the kids still ask to go again. Great fun.
You had me at hello.
I LOVE YOUR BLOGS. JUST FOUND THEM TODAY AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ANNAVILLE. PEOPLE TELL ME ALL THE TIME I LIVE IN HEATHER, HEATHER LAND.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! GOD THANKS YOU AND SO DO I.
