No, not this house. I do apologize for yesterday’s slack. But, I have a good excuse. Really, I do!
I thought it might be appropriate to blog on the election. Since, after all, today IS the day. But, seriously. Do you really want to see or read any more of the democratic process? Me either.
Talking ‘bout love is so much sweeter.
So, let me tell you a little story.
Once upon a time, there were two brothers.
One found love with yours truly. (That would be the one on the left.)
The other, well, we just hoped and prayed he would find that girl. (That would be the one on the right.)
After much waiting (and wondering), Dr. Takle (you KNOW that’s the one on the right) did just that. Both boy and girl traveled long roads to find love in each other. And, this fabulous girl brought with her the most beautiful package. TWO.PRECIOUS.DAUGHTERS.
She embraced him and all of his medical talk that we usually just nodded our heads to as if we comprehended every single word. He loved on her with the kind of love you read about. And, he gave two little girls a safe place to fall, a safe place to be held, and safe place to be loved.
So, the day came (that would be Sunday) for the two to become one. Tears flowed through the vows. And, before we knew it, they were a family.
It was a perfect day.
They rode off into the sunset. And, happy days are sure to follow.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Dr. Leiv & Lindsey Takle. And, their two beautiful daughters, Macie and Bella.
God is good.
See? I told you I had a good excuse.
Don’t ya just love love?

You’re so sweet! It WAS a perfect day! Leiv and I are so happy that you and Kris were able to share it with us. Love you!

This was so sweet Dusty! I love, “love stories”!! Lindsey is a beautiful girl, they make a wonderful family! Blessings to them all! Great blog! What an event to share in, to witness the answer to God’s love, prayers prayed!
Thank you Dusty for the post. Now I feel very special! Thanks for being there on this special day. I know it was hard for you and Kris to make it all happen to be there and it meant the world to Lindsey and I that you could come on such short notice. Now we need to set up a time to come to OKC. Love you…Leiv (the guy on the right)
It was as sweet as weddings come. And, I’m thrilled that I was there. Our family is richer because of those three girls!
By the way, Judy Young sent me an e-mail saying that Lindsey and I favored. I would really appreciate her commenting that on my blog post. It was a confidence booster! I’ll take that 🙂
Weddings? I have done a few….but this was one of the sweetest weddings I have ever done.. To see the tenderness, the love & the affection from this day was amazing. And to watch Leiv, Lindsey & the girls become the family that I know God has blessed was a testimony of His love! I considered it an honor to be a part of such a special day and even a greater honor to have them in my life. Leiv & Lindsey, you are so special to us and we love you both very much. Again…congratulions!
Also…I DO think Dusty & Lindsey favor! 🙂
