5 Minutes

Here’s one for ya.

If you had five minutes of the world’s attention, what would you say?

My mind has been all over the board on this one.  For real.  Themes like “forgiveness” and “peace” seem likely.  Or, perhaps, addressing the rising gas prices is another good one.  But, I’m drawn to this one.

I think maybe I’d share Ephesians 3:18-19 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Because, the love of Christ is the greatest story ever told.

Of course, to truly understand the love of Christ, you have to know the whole story.  Perhaps, I’d hit the highlights like the fact that God knowing that we would need to be saved from our sin willingly agreed to become a man and give his life as a ransom.  Why did he do it?  Because, he loves us.

It’s a tough question really.  What would you say?  You’ve got five minutes.

If you had 5 minutes you would bring hope to a hopeless life and you will….Jerimiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope

  2. I think I’d probably tell people that when we get to heaven a lot of us are going to be shocked at some of the people we see, and surprised about the ones missing, and hoping with everything inside us that Jesus doesn’t say, “Step away from me, I never knew you.”

If I was a beauty contestant I would say “World Peace” HAHHA But as you know I am no beauty queen or will ever be.. And I don’t think we will EVER see world peace so I am with you Preacher Dusty… No matter how bad things are or seem you have to know that God has a plan for us here. No matter how we die I try to loook at it like this… “We have done what God has put us here to do and wants us back home” Are we a drugie? Are we a Wife beater? Are we a sinner??? Are we a Saint? No matter who we are, we teach lessons to people every day, and that might be what we are supposed to do…. Who knows, I know that I don’t want people to ever feel alone… and pray that if I am feeling down people won’t let me feel alone either.

  4. Good question. I’d probably sing Sara Grove’s song “Conversations” to the world. I think it says it nicely and honestly. You should check out the lyrics. They’re amazing!

p.s. I found you via Big is the New Small.
