Here we are again. I wish I had some life-changing wisdom to share.
I’ve been too focused on proving improving my baking skills to learn any life lessons. Especially after all of your encouraging comments from yesterday’s post.
No, really. I feel the love.
I even invited my friend, Lance, over to try some tasty confections….well, spaghetti. He gave some lame excuse about being too busy hanging out with Bill Hybels. I suppose tomorrow he’ll be dining with Bono.
I did re-dedicate Anna to the Lord yesterday. After I saw THIS.
“Lord, she is yours. Use her. Mold her.”
Granted, I purchased those socks. However, they certainly were not meant to accessorize corduroy CAPRIS.
Watch out Project Runway.
John Henry’s Kindergarten experience is going quite well. He won the desperately sought after “Respect Award” for his school. ‘Cause that’s how we roll.
Well, I’ve bragged on Anna’s ever-progressing appreciation for the fashion industry and John Henry’s impeccable manners. It’s your turn.
Go ahead. Brag on your bundles of joy. It’s Fall for crying out loud. (And Sting’s birthday.)
love the socks, hows the baking going, bring some goodies to me when you come.
Well it was my bundle of joy hanging with Bill Hybels….lol…I LOVE THE SOCKS TOO…and I LOVE PINK…and I LOVE FALL…MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR….it is like God gets more creative than you ever thought he was …GO JH, YOU ARE THE BOY!!!
Mine are a LITTLE old to be bundles of joy. But, I think they are wonderful and I’m very proud of them.
My baby boy was on the very first and last Homcoming Court at Taylor Street Middle yesterday. The sight of my little man in a suit with a girl on each arm nearly brought tears to my eyes. He does his Mama & Daddy so proud!
Shelley, it would have brought tears to my eyes, too! So very cute.
bahahah. She looks like Cousin Eddie’s little girl on National Lampoons Christmas! Love it!
I got nothing. The Morgan kids have their moments but I am not sure they are anything to brag about. Here are a few examples… Little Miss Molly Faith has proudly taken care of bizness in the bathtub the last 3 nights in a row and it always happens the moment I take her and Sammy’s dirty clothes into my room to put into the hamper. I come back in and Sammy stands up and says “Ewww mommy, sissy is shooey”. Molly just smiles. Last night, Marcus had some friends over to play in his playhouse and they were pretending there was a ghost in the house turning out the lights, running around laughing and screaming and after his friends left he came up to me giggling and said “Momma, a second ago I screamed really loud and then I tooted and then I screamed again and almost wet my pants!” then he burst out laughing again.
Yep, I’m sure proud of my little people. Oh and I used to have socks just like Anna’s and I was very proud of them. Too cute! Congrats to John Henry!!
I have a few…. I am a proud daddy. My oldest girl, Mikayla (6) won “Eagle of the Month” at her school. She got a certificate to prove it. That’s what she said. She also won a “reward”, also what she said, for staying on blue for the last 9 weeks. Staying on blue is very important from what I understand. Back to the reward…. So her reward was a Backyardigans kite. She loved it. I was proud. We talked about her day, what she had for lunch, etc. Halfway home she looks at me in a most serious way and says,”Daddy, What is a reward?” That’s my eagle of the month! My little one, Jaelyn (2) makes me laugh. Yesterday she walked into my room with a clothes hanger on her head and said,” Daddy, I princess.” See, in my kingdom we roll with clothes hangers, ha! I heard that John Henry scored 3 goals in his second game. He is second in line to marry my Mikayla, so I keep up with these things.
my bundles of joy are smart, cute, employed (woo hoo) and just downright fabulous. they get it from their momma 🙂
LOVE THE SOCKS!!! MY 12 YEAR OLD SON STEFAN PLAYS SOCCER SO THEY ALL WEAR THEIR SOCKS LIKE THAT AND NOT JUST TO GAMES. THEY EVEN WEAR MIX MATCH SOCKS. MY HUSBAND HATES IT BUT I JUST SAY IT’S THE FASHION.LOL SO ANNA IS RIGHT UP WITH THE FASHION.
BRYSON MY 7 YEAR OLD IS IN THE 2ND GRADE AND HE IS READING 4TH GRADE LEVEL. HE IS EXTREMELY SMART AND HE DIDN’T GET IT FROM ME OR STANLEY.LOL GOD HAS GIVEN HIM THAT GIFT. NOW IF HE WOULD JUST SHARE IT WITH MY 12 YEAR OLD THAT THINKS BEING SMART IS BEING A NERD.
The kids & I are packing for the beach…we look forward to this trip every year…time with the fam. My kids are great (most of the time)…very proud of Sam (12) ….tonight he will be attending Mrs. Hamilton’s Cotillion…all dressed up…we’ve been practicing our very best manners. Sam likes to add an English accent….too funny.
Great blog Dusty! My joys are the 3 daughters of mine, Jaime is getting married May 2nd, so, I am very happy for my daughter! I am proud of strength of my 3 daughters! My bundles of joy are my 5 grandchildren! Jessica is 14, Jeffery is 11, Thomas 5 yrs old, Ty is 3, Chloe is 3. My face grins when I think of them, talk to them, my heart leaps when I see them. I am like your Mama, they light up my life too! Much love, get better Dusty!
Oh yeah, did I tell you how Cute that Anna is? She definately puts a smile on my face!! lol
Amanda, you are so honest. I love your stories.
Shari, congratulations on your kids’ employment. I KNOW that makes you proud!
Joy, I will encourage Anna to save her trendy fashions for the soccer field.
Gayla, you win with the funniest story. LOVE it that Sam is using an accent. Everyone sounds smarter with a British accent. Look at Madonna!
Lynn, thanks. She puts a smile on mine, too!
showing your age with the title…Pippi Longstocking called. She wants her socks back.
Anna is sooooo you!
Don’t think I didn’t see that “BUNDLE OF JOY” comment MOM!
At least Anna tries to have fashion sense ( Michael is truly a fabulous dresser) John on the other hand needs garanimals… the boy got barry’s dressing genes. Michael hasn’t gotten many stickers (bad thing) he is enjoying being social and silly — the adults are not enjoying that so much. he is smart and creative and likes to look good. john- he is going to save the world— or blow it up—- it’ll be a toss up with my little soldier boy. regardless of what my boys become, they will be late at it as they procrastinate at everything. i’m proud shari’s kids have jobs, and i’ll have to call sam to hear the accent!! too funny
I’m so late. Can’t believe I missed Sting’s birthday. Hope that doesn’t mean we’ll break up. Surely he’ll get over it…
