After last week’s emotional roller coaster of writing, I decided to lighten it up a bit this week….or at least, today.
On that note, here is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken recently.
This four-legged cutie lives on Kris’ family farm. I’m really not sure why his dad thought goats would be a beneficial addition to the cows and whatnots, but I kind of like them. From a distance.
One day, I’m going to live on a farm, home-school my children, live off the land, and have my own flock of sheep. I will shear the sheep and make shearling slippers. I will sell my slippers and retire.
It could happen.
Or not.
On another note, our weekend was a good one. We went to the 11:30 service on Sunday, and I left heavy hearted. More to come on that one whenever I’m up for it.
What are you going to do one day?
OR…..
What was your weekend highlight?
haha…you’re cracking me up with the homeschool, farm stuff! I love you just the way you are…..really! 🙂
Thanks, Robin. But, I’m not sayin’ “NEVER” on this one 🙂
Big Show and Bizziness! There is something a little special happening right now at the n-dub… I Can’t Quite Exlain It, but I Like It!
Whent to the UGA @ AUBURN Game with my son and 2 of his friends…front row right behind the UGA bench…20 yd. line. Oh, and the boys loved being in front of the cheerleaders! AND UGA won, even if by a small margin and a 2 min. nailbiter by Auburn. Go Dawgs!
I’d love to retire on a lake in Texas. I want to walk down to the end of the yard and hop on my pontoon boat.
I would like to pre-order 4 pair of shearling slippers. Is Pay pal ok? Goats are cool from a distance. Up close, no good. I have always wanted a farm with a bunch of jack-asses. I am not sure what the difference is between donkeys, mules and jack-asses, but it’s rare I get to use the word ass and it be ok. I think that about does it for now. I am all detoxed out.
That Dusty was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha! I am sorry you had a heavy heart, but here is a chuckle for you. Saturday night, I was driving Bruce somewhere, and I looked out the side view mirror…..and said, “boy the sun behind us is gorgeous!!” Bruce asked me…”Did you say, that guy behind me is gorgeous!!” It was sooo funny, we both wailed laughing! I dont’ talk about guys being gorgeous, which made it funny. Only Bruce.
Love you,
I trashed Michel Lough’s wedding dress this weekend! Ahh, BLISS! Seriously though, had my favorite shoot this weekend taking Michel and Jake out to play in their wedding attire. So much fun. Also, I learned that Isaac knows I have bible study on Mondays, therefore his tummy starts hurting on Sunday nights so that he can stay and play with the kiddos. Very amusing to me.
Yeah, the message was a heavy one this weekend — but sooooo good. Need more fire under your hinnie (like me) – read Crazy Love, by Francis Chan. It’s the same kind of message.
Mike T, I receive paypal and sweettarts.
Kim, I did read Crazy Love. Almost sold my house and gave everything away. The husband had to bring me back to some sort of balance on that one.
